Kitchen cabinets can cost anywhere from $1,000-$100,000 and are typically about 50-70% of the total cost of a kitchen renovation. There are three general types of cabinets to choose from. In-stock kitchen cabinets are the least expensive: these are the most limited for layout, style and finish but can usually be purchased on the same day and are the cheapest. Semi-stock kitchen cabinets seems to be the most popular today: these allow more options for layout, style and finish but usually take 6 weeks to delivery. Custom kitchen cabinets are built by order. You don't choose these out of a catalog and therefore are very expensive. It can take up to 3 months to get custom cabinets and installation for these cabinets can also take exceptionally long. |
